ABOUT SUKIE

I grew up in the tranquil Nahe region near Bad Kreuznach and had my first dance experiences at the age of 4 in a children's show dance group in my small home village.

Show dancing and guard dancing accompanied me throughout my childhood and youth. During this time I also danced as a majorette for 4 years and led a youth show dance group for 2 years.

After graduating from high school in 2015, I decided to study in Darmstadt and ventured into new territory in the areas of dance and fitness. In the same year, I completed training as a Zumba instructor and after a year of settling in Darmstadt and at university, I started dancing again in 2016. That year, I did further training in Zumba step and since then I have been giving courses in the university sports department of the TU Darmstadt in the areas of Zumba, Zumba step and fitness.



I discovered my love for jazz dance in 2018. The possibilities of slipping into different roles through dance, feeling the music in the choreography and telling stories through movement fascinate me and sparked my passion for jazz.

What I love about jazz dance is the variety of genres, the creativity involved and the opportunity to image stories in music - jazz dance is such an expressive art form.

I am happy to be part of the Motion Dance Studio team.
